Hey, just back from Beijing, accompanying my mother for a Lenovo Inovation Center Visiting trip. Anyway, back to the beginning..I was told by my mum earlier that she’s going to Beijing for a work purpose. At first, I am thinking to go as well (just to tumpang sekaki). Considering my annual leaves are still quite a number, further we’re closer to the year end, and finally i decided to follow her.

We departed on 27th October and went back to Msia on the 31st October..so its around 5 days 4 nights we spent there. Getting few quick hot tips what is suppose to do & dont, attractions + etc from Apai, since he went there for past few months ago, thanks to him again.

What I like
Briefly, to me, Beijing was great, gigantic city with the population that almost equivalent to total Malaysian’s citizen..which i was told by the tour guide it is around 22 Millions for Beijing itself..and the China itself around 1.3 billions. No wonder every places in beijing full with crowded people. With having a communism political ideology, the whole china is controlled by the government itself. I am surprise with their subway which is i can say its good and i think, for overall to me, its better than UK’s underground regardless the technology were imposed by London, Beijing seems doing a great progressive on that.

Further, the best part, since the whole subway lines are controlled by the government, the fare are very cheap. One way for just 2 yuen which equivalent to RM1, regardless anywhere u want to go, changing lines are not an issue, u’re not require to pay anything..”kalau macam malaysia, LRT PUtra gombak ke Kelana Jaya..berapa ringgit dah kena.."
During the day & night time, lunch and dinner..the best part makan local muslim food, at first lunch, I had my lunch the Lenovo team jugak, with all Lenovo ASEAN CGMs pun join the whole trip, that time, after went to Great Wall, makan at non-muslim restaurant, what we can just eat like pure vege & rice je la..then the following day, most of the meals are at Halal restaurant. So the highlight point here is, food is not too difficult to find here. and the food are not bad, it taste good!..i mean really!
Then few attraction places that I went, like Forbidden City- kediaman maharaja china zaman dynasty earlier, Beijing Zoo (pegi semata nak tgk how the real panda looks like), Summer Palace – tempat maharaja vacation.

The Forbidden City amazed me, I never thought that the city word really does have a meaning. Damn the castle area are like SOOO DAMN BIG..sangat besar sampai tak larat nak berjalan. We spent the time there like what, half a day..It has a few gates which is also quite huge before sampai kediaman Maharaja. I wonder how frequent raja keluar menjenguk rakyat..might be once in a month kot..
The day I went to the Beijing Zoo, I was alone, my mum and the rest went to Lenovo Innovation Center at other district from central city, so at first macam a bit worried jgk, ye la, can say >90% of them cant speak in english, semua mandarin, the funny part, most of the time during conversation, macam ayam dgn itik..great. Harapkan belajar one and half year mandarin ambik time Uni dlu..boleh la survive sikit, dulu bukan main menghafal, i think i am a lot more better before then now, kesian cikgu penat mengajar. Sorry laoshi! Duibuqi! (maksud nya “maaf cikgu” haha)
The rest, maybe items to shop..if u have something to buy, everything is here, just that u need to go to the right place, place we went twice for shopping is the Silk Market, u can find almost everything there and the price are bargain’able…u can ask for more than 50% lower than the stated price, I wanted to buy PSP which i saw there. Even, there, surprisingly some of them can speak malay and some among them are quite fluent..haih..this is world of tomorrow~..
What I dont like
The only thing I don’t like in China is the public toilet. Yes i know a bit difficult to find a public toilet same as what we have, but yes they don't have any water basically using toilet paper and most of the public W.C are not that clean,u know what i mean..the smell and etc.. sampai ada time nak pegi, masuk2 je terus tak jadi…xpe lah, pegi toilet kat hotel jer…u’ll know when u experienced it urself. but not all are like that, just..most of it. :X
