Newcomer

While busy tight up with work, some did asked me, u still got time for movie ar? kata busy..haha..yes off course, i think for this month, I made a record watching 6 movies in a month. To end for this year, few best movies still pending to be viewed very2 soon. List i watched earlier from 1 to 6 & my rating as below:

1. Law Abiding Citizen - 4.5/5
2. Jenifer's Body - 2.5/5
3. 2012 - 4/5
4. Planet 51 - 3/5
5. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs-3D - 3.5/5
6. Phobia-2 - 3.5/5

Past few days, my dad called me during office as he told his friend just gave him a pair of cat so called russian-mixed persian..huh? He said to keep it at home, arr..what i told, then our existing kunyit how? (my current cat's name yellowish color with Malaysian kampung breed + mixed-persian ancestor). Kunyit, my longest cat ever staying with us. 3 houses dah pindah, she's still here with us. From melawati, putrajaya 1st house and now 2nd house also masih bertahan. Yea, she. Female cat. She was born in 1999 which i was in form 2 tht year. Damn long time already.

So this 2 kittens came in, put in a huge cage which my dad purchase it on the same day, I reached home a bit late, then kena pasang those cage for the sake of the kitten..haihh...to me persian cat a bit difficult to take care, despite the high maintenance cost, we need to always pay highly attention to them as they are really fragile. Both of them male & female, abis la, yea off course kunyit not easy with their existence in our house. Nk buat camne kunyit, papa nk jaga..biar je la ye. (yet later for SURE it'll be me need to take responsibility to take care of them..aiii). Kunyit have been trained survival skills since she was small. So agak salah mengajar, almost every week mesti ada burung/tikus di bawa balik kerumah. Yet sometimes menyesal juga melatih kucing utk menjadi hunter. Bukan apa, all the mess need to be clean up, and kunyit bawa balik macam trophy kejayaan pula..helloo~

Off course, mixed-kampung cat are easy to take care, tinggal pun rasanya dia pandai cari makan sendiri..(dont ever practice this, take care of ur pet!), and even they are not that fragile, very seldom to fall sick. Unlike persian, vaccine + medicine kene lah selalu bagi kot. Haih,,see how it goes, nanti my sister balik next tuesday, boleh la outsource kat dia jaga, asya jaga la yerr..your new task for school holiday.

After-words

Been very busy lately , coming back from Beijing was not really2 a happy thing, the work is waiting for me.., purely, this quarter pun dah kena start buat Hell'check server, patch and now Auditor is coming very2 soon..tiring part, no need to mention, but still, i would rather to go back home as sharp as possible, just sometimes tak dapat memenuhi kehendak utk pulang awal.

Yet, end of the year will become as usual, people are getting married, tidak terlepas dari jemputan kawan2 yg menjemput utk hadir ke majlis perkahwinan mereka. Apologies to some of them, i really2 cant attend due to urgent things came up & off course, not the distance does matter. Tp timing utk pergi dan pulang pada masa itu does'nt not allow me to go..those yg I cant really2 go, hanya doa kebahagiaan ke anak cucu mampu saya berikan utk anda dan pasangan.

Next month ada 3 weddings, phew..mana nak larat tiga2 kat utara..I could only attend one of them, masa2 lain..like usual, i need to work on weekend..darn~

Next 2 weeks will celebrating Hari Raya haji, belum sempat nak apply leave one day earlier than hari raya, most of my team mates dah apply dlu..hmmph..tak dapat la cuti awal. I would spare my balance leave on the other day then. What is in my mind, mayb one week for end of the month december. Cuti lama2 pun bukan best sangat..mayb thinking of to balik kampung..havent decide yet. Thinking about the past, my parents will send us adik beradik ke kampung kalau cuti sekolah akhir tahun. Cuti sebulan, like 2 weeks in Penang, 2 weeks in Terengganu..haha..miss those days..tu je la masa nak bersama dgn datuk nenek kesayangan saya. :)

Off Work for Beijing

Hey, just back from Beijing, accompanying my mother for a  Lenovo Inovation Center Visiting trip. Anyway, back to the beginning..I was told  by my mum earlier that she’s going to Beijing for a work purpose. At first, I am thinking to go as well (just to tumpang sekaki). Considering my annual leaves are still quite a number, further we’re closer to the year end, and finally i decided to follow her.

We departed on 27th October and went back to Msia on the 31st October..so its around 5 days 4 nights we spent there. Getting few quick hot tips what is suppose to do & dont, attractions + etc from Apai, since he went there for past few months ago, thanks to him again.

DSC00109

What I like

Briefly, to me, Beijing was great, gigantic city with the population that almost equivalent to total Malaysian’s citizen..which i was told by the tour guide it is around 22 Millions for Beijing itself..and the China itself around 1.3 billions. No wonder every places in beijing full with crowded people. With having a communism political ideology, the whole china is controlled by the government itself. I am surprise with their subway which is i can say its good and i think, for overall to me, its better than UK’s underground regardless the technology were imposed by London, Beijing seems doing a great progressive on that.

    DSC00210DSC00190

Further, the best part, since the whole subway lines are controlled by the government, the fare are very cheap. One way for just 2 yuen which equivalent to RM1, regardless anywhere u want to go, changing lines are not an issue, u’re not require to pay anything..”kalau macam malaysia, LRT PUtra gombak ke Kelana Jaya..berapa ringgit dah kena.."

DSC00214

During the day & night time, lunch and dinner..the best part makan local muslim food, at first lunch, I had my lunch the Lenovo team jugak, with all Lenovo ASEAN CGMs pun join the whole trip,  that time, after went to Great Wall, makan at non-muslim restaurant, what we can just eat like pure vege & rice je la..then the following day, most of the meals are at Halal restaurant. So the highlight point here is, food is not too difficult to find here. and the food are not bad, it taste good!..i mean really!

                 DSC00263

Then few attraction places that I went, like Forbidden City- kediaman maharaja china zaman dynasty earlier, Beijing Zoo (pegi semata nak tgk how the real panda looks like), Summer Palace – tempat maharaja vacation.

The Forbidden City amazed me, I never thought that the city word really does have a meaning. Damn the castle area are like SOOO DAMN BIG..sangat besar sampai tak larat nak berjalan. We spent the time there like what, half a day..It has a few gates which is also quite huge before sampai kediaman Maharaja. I wonder how frequent raja keluar menjenguk rakyat..might be once in a month kot..

                     DSC00069

The day I went to the Beijing Zoo, I was alone, my mum and the rest went to Lenovo Innovation Center at other district from central city, so at first macam a bit worried jgk, ye la, can say >90% of them cant speak in english, semua mandarin, the funny part, most of the time during conversation, macam ayam dgn itik..great. Harapkan belajar one and half year mandarin ambik time Uni dlu..boleh la survive sikit, dulu bukan main menghafal, i think i am a lot more better before then now, kesian cikgu penat mengajar. Sorry laoshi! Duibuqi! (maksud nya “maaf cikgu” haha)

                     DSC00393

The rest, maybe items to shop..if u have something to buy, everything is here, just that u need to go to the right place, place we went twice for shopping is the Silk Market, u can find almost everything there and the price are bargain’able…u can ask for more than 50% lower than the stated price, I wanted to buy PSP which i saw there. Even, there, surprisingly some of them can speak malay and some among them are quite fluent..haih..this is world of tomorrow~..

DSC00403

What I dont like

The only thing I don’t like in China is the public toilet. Yes i know a bit difficult to find a public toilet same as what we have, but yes they don't have any water basically using toilet paper and most of the public W.C are not that clean,u know what i mean..the smell and etc.. sampai ada time nak pegi, masuk2 je terus tak jadi…xpe lah, pegi toilet kat hotel jer…u’ll know when u experienced it urself. but not all are like that, just..most of it. :X

Financial on your own

Has been few days from my last post. I know, a bit tight with something of what else can it be called…”Work”. Just back from Awana Genting for 3 days 2 nights IBM’s customer service excellence program. The whole program was fun, the place and the people makes everything splendid. At least, away from the work that always never ends. I met quite a number of IBMers there and there’s one indian guy who had be with IBM since 30 years ago..as he said..”thirty..” I replied..”thirteen?” just to get confirmed..he replied again, ..”THIRTY..” clear..i wonder whether i can last even for 3 years..lol

Opened my bank account, great! my wage been paid. Its time to pay the credit cards & others debt..to be honest, even im not from finance/accounting field, but i do love to arrange my financial spending in my own way. Just to share with u all (its not the best way, but i hope it gives u clear view personal financial management). Although some of you might think that personal financial management not that important yet to u until u’re getting old, but to me it does require regularly practice as to let it be ur habits.

What is my practice is as below:

Once u have a banking account (preferable Maybank), create 2 accouts in the same bank.

------------------------------------------------------------

Short Term Saving

1) Account 1 (assume ur salary will be in this account)

  • This is where your wages will be paid in, so called 1st level.
  • Set as main account in ur bank card.

2) Account 2

  • The amount of the account must be at least one month of your salary.
  • E.g salary – RM2000.00, maintain at least this amount in this account for future expenses/money urgency cases.
  • Once it reaches more than 50% of the basic RM2000, which is RM3000 (set as the TRESHOLD), transfer it to Long Term Saving –> See 4)

3) Credit Cards

  • Nowadays credit cards are free-for-life yearly fee waiver.
  • Be discipline, use the cards same as ur bank to ease urself during payment. Collect the points & rebate as many as u can.
  • TIPS: BUT PAY EXACT AMOUNT AS THE STATEMENT BALANCE.
  • TIPS: USE UR ACCOUNT 2 TO PAY IF NEEDED, EVEN ITS NOT ADVISEABLE, BUT DONT LEAVE THE BALANCE BEHIND.

*I’ve heard that new budget 2010 will put taxes RM50 yearly on each of the credit card. Need to check about that.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Long term Saving / Planned Financial

4) Account 1 – Amanah Saham/Fixed Deposit/ETC

*My suggestion ASB/ASW/1Malaysia/FD, don’t go for shares (even for long term) since its fragile.

------------------------------------------------------------

Saving Protection

5) Insurance/Takaful

  • Insured yourself, remember this is important if you don’t have one. This will secure your long terms saving on 4).
  • If your’re 25 yrs old, pay as low as RM100 monthly to get the best RM50,000 protection on ur savings for 30 years.Your savings will be returned back once reach the maturity period. You got nothing to loose.

------------------------------------------------------------

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri

Salam,

Seems a while I’ve missed out few weeks posts. Tight with working schedule & personal commitments making me less mood to scratch the note. Anyway, last 2 weeks was the day celebration of Aidilfitri. For this year, our family celebration goes to Terengganu’s turn. Which at my mum’s hometown. Very glad to meet and gather the whole family together on the day that been waited for so long. As usual, we celebrate the raya fest as moderate as it be. Meeting family members is the most essential on Aidilfitri celebration. Raya trip continues on the 3rd day we arrived at my dad’s hometown, Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang. Everything goes great as we went back to KL on Thursday as one of the intention to go back earlier a bit is to avoid traffic. Past  weekends ago, went for few open houses & meet some friends for hari raya. Before the syawal’s end, I would like to express my wishes to all muslim friends “Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin”.

Recent movie that I watched was The Final Destination 4. Got some feedback saying it was great. Intentionally thought want to watch District 9 (how slow i am that only now want to watch that movie since a long time ago it has been released) but the movie no longer in cinema..second choice is FD4..I proceed with the movie carrying with the good feedback from some friends.

AHa..again the movie does not impress me much. The whole scene was like re-acting again the previous FD sequel but with different actor and different situation..if u have watched the previous FD1-FD3..u can just thought the next plot going to be and the ending of the story.

Vaccine Got License: 1st World A/H1N1 Vaccine

After a while, finally the world first A/H1N1 vaccine been tested & approved as has obtained license to produce. One of China’s pharmaceutical company (Sinovac) has obtained their license to produce their vaccine pattern.

image

According to them,  vaccine named Panflu.1 , is likely very safe as meeting world standards. It is most likely expected other countries will release their own vaccine as well in a short while.

image

So, when can it be sold in Malaysia? Not really sure, since the company producer really need to focus on China gov. needs since they require a lot of mass production vaccine to be injected to those high risk group of people..its million quantity in short period of time that we’re talking about.

Selamat Hari Merdeka, Malaysia
